Our coastal inn in Polzeath has incredible views of the beach and countryside. A combination of rooms, self-catering apartments and cottages, we have accommodation in Polzeath for families and we’re dog friendly also. Only 5 minutes from the beach, we are perfectly placed for a beach holiday, walking break or simply relaxing at our pub accommodation in Polzeath. Great for those looking for a surfing holiday in Cornwall or for those who prefer a place to stay, eat and spectate with a cold bottle of wine and a sensational sunset.
We have some exciting news as in the new year we are going to be giving the Oystercatcher a fresh new look in our bar, dining areas and outside terrace.
The Oystercatcher will be closed from Monday 7th January and we are looking to re-open again on Monday 15th April where we will be waiting in anticipation to show you the newly created space and amazing new look although you can have a sneak peek below!

Accessibility: The Cottage and Apartments 3 and 4 are located on the ground floor. The rest of our apartments are arranged over the 1st and 2 floor with no access to a lift. If you have mobility issues and are unsure if our apartments would be suitable, please ring our Central Reservations team on 0345 241 1133 who would be happy to answer any questions.
Dogs: We welcome well behaved dogs into our apartments and cottage at an additional charge of £10 per night, per dog. If you are booking your room online please mention you are bringing your dog/s in the booking notes. Please note, dogs are not allowed on Polzeath Beach between Easter and 1st October.
Parking: We have a large car park which is free of charge to all customers and guests staying in our apartments.
Check in/Out: You can check in anytime from 3pm, please collect your key from the bar. We ask that you vacate the apartment by 10am on the day of departure.
Breakfast: Unfortunately we do not serve breakfast at the Oystercatcher but please speak to a member of the team upon arrival who will be happy to recommed a few great places.
Lunch and Evening Meals: We serve delicious, locally sourced, food daily. Please take a look at our food page to find out what we can tempt you with! High chairs and a children's menu are also available.
T&Cs: Guests who need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible.
Full payment will be taken from your card the day before arrival. If cancelled up to 1 week prior to the date of arrival 50% of the cost of your stay will be refunded. After this the full amount of your stay will be forfeited. In case of a no show the total price of your reservation will be charged. A deposit, cancellation charge and other conditions may apply to certain rates, as specified.
We reserve the right and you hereby authorise us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the property during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when you leave.
Did you know we welcome dogs? We’re the ideal hound hideaway due to our fantastic location! Dogs are welcome in the Oystercatcher apartments all year round. There are some lovely walks in the local area, the coastal walk from Polzeath to dog friendly Daymer Bay is a real highlight and out of season let Rover run riot across Polzeath beach.
Dogs are charged at £10 per night for each dog and we ask that they are not left unattended in the rooms at any time or allowed on beds or furniture. It is the owner’s responsibility to keep them under control at all times.
